[Live Online Training] Managing ESG Risks in Financial Institutions

On June 13, 2021, the G7 leaders agreed a shared agenda for global action to protect the planet by supporting a green revolution that creates jobs, cuts emissions, and seeks to limit the rise in global temperatures to 1.5 degrees. These esteemed global leaders committed to net zero emissions no later than 2050. Policy change and subsequent regulations, as well as arising risks have significant consequences for the financial services industry. Banks, Insurance Companies and other non-bank financial institutions (NBFIs) need to ensure that these emerging risks are managed adequately and that environmental, social, and governance (ESG) criteria are integrated into their organization's management framework, business profile and strategy. Environmental criteria consider how a company performs as a steward of nature. Social criteria examine how it manages relationships with employees, suppliers, customers, and the communities where it operates.

As the travel and in-person meeting constraints associated with the coronavirus continue, this interactive online course will review and discuss the key motivations behind the increased awareness of ESG investing and the risks and challenges this presents. The convenient half-day sessions will enable attendees to easily fit the course into their daily work schedule, and without the time and expense of also having to travel to an off-site location for the event.
